About Martinez Béisbol Films
Max Martinez Almenas, Executive Producer and Director of Martinez Béisbol Films, studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy, and worked in Broadcasting with NBC Universal, Mun2 (Telemundo), and is a proud member of Society for American Baseball Research. Max's maternal grandfather and three uncles are the subject of the documentary.
Through his collaboration with Danae and Ari from Black Pug Films, they are dedicated to producing a compelling documentary that showcases the remarkable lives of the Martinez Brothers. Through their story, the filmmaking team aims to shed light on the challenges faced by professional Afro-Latino and Negro baseball players, and honor their legacy.
